A murder investigation has been launched by the Metropolitan Police following the fatal stabbing of a 22-year-old man in west London.
Haruun Hassan died in the early hours of Tuesday morning after a stabbing on board a bus.
Police were called to the junction of Bath Road and Great Southwest Road in Hounslow at around 1.45am on June 30, finding Mr Hasaan with serious injuries.
Despite efforts from emergency services, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Forensics teams were seen gathering evidence along the stretch of A4 throughout Tuesday, with a double-decker bus within the police cordon.
Photos from the scene showed a number of yellow markers set up within the cordon, strewn with first aid equipment and clothing.
No arrests have been made at this stage, while Mr Hasaan’s next-of-kin are being supported by specially trained officers.
The Met believe that a number of passengers would have seen the stabbing, and witnesses and residents of nearby houses are being asked to provide CCTV, doorbell, and mobile phone footage.
Detective Chief Inspector Paul Waller, who is leading the investigation said: “Our thoughts remain with Haruun’s family during this tremendously difficult time.
“We know there were a number of people on the bus at this time, and we urge those people, or anyone with information, to contact police as a matter of urgency.
“My team continues to make enquiries and our investigation remains ongoing. We are committed to identifying and apprehending those responsible for Haruun’s death.”
Anyone with information or footage has been urged to contact police on 101, quoting CAD 0540/30JUN26, or to contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
