A 49-year-old man accused of murdering another man who died in hospital after a fight at a Perth home has faced court.
Graham Clive Sandy allegedly assaulted a 59-year-old man at a residence in the northeastern suburb of Mirrabooka on Tuesday.
He appeared briefly in Perth Magistrate's Court on Thursday and was remanded in custody to reappear in Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court on November 22.
Police were called to the home about 5pm and found the older man with serious head injuries.
Paramedics transported him to Joondalup Health Campus.
"Sadly the man who was assaulted has died in hospital," a police spokesman said.
"It will be alleged an altercation occurred between the two men."
The pair were known to each other, police said.
Sandy was initially charged with grievous bodily harm but that was upgraded to murder after the man died.
