Murder case: four sentenced to life imprisonment

An additional sessions court here on Thursday awarded life imprisonment to convicts in the murder of Leneesh, a mimicry artist from Chanaganassery, in November 2013.

The court awarded life imprisonment and 10 years of rigorous imprisonment to all four convicts, identified as Sreekala, Shijo Sebastian, Shyam Kumar, and Rameshan. The murder, committed on November 21, 2013, came to light after the police recovered the victim's body from a location near Pampady.

A police investigation later revealed that Sreekala had plotted the murder with the help of the other convicts after Leneesh had ended a relationship with her.
