Munster want to "set a mark" and secure Champions Cup involvement for next term after guaranteeing their URC play-off place last week.
A resounding victory over the Stormers in Cape Town has put the Reds in the mood to wreak vengeance on the Sharks, their Champions Cup last 16 conquerors three weeks ago.
Their return to Durban could see Keith Earls make his 200th appearance for the province after the veteran was named on the bench.

"We want to come down here and we want to have two victories and really set a mark," said attack coach Mike Prendergast.
“Look, on the way down we were a wounded animal, I suppose, in terms of our previous performance against the Sharks.
“Fortunately we have that team against us on Saturday, which poses a lot of threats, so we know what we need to get right."
Munster could yet need one or two points to ensure they are playing in Europe's top tier competition next season, depending on how Leinster's inexperienced side get on against the Bulls.
They will miss RG Synman, who is going through return to play protocols after a head injury, but Prendergast emphasised where the focus is.
“I know it’s a bit of a cliché but we want a big performance here because the last time we were on that pitch, we came up short, and we came up a good bit short," he stated.
"We need to be a lot better than that. We know where they will come at us. We know what we need to do to hold onto the ball.
“They are a type of team that if it does get loose, they have such good athletes, they have so much pace. We saw that the last day, that was probably down to a small bit of chasing the game. We handed them a couple of scores through it.
“In terms of knowing them, we know what they are going to bring and we know the areas they are going to go after, and I think a good setup for this weekend was probably last weekend."
