Munster coach Greig Oliver's paraglide is understood to have collided with another before his death in South Africa.
The National Sea Rescue Institute in South Africa say the former Scotland international was a tandem passenger in one that was flying over the promenade in Cape Town when his aircraft hit another in the air.
While the other paraglide managed to land safely, Greig's one deployed a reserve parachute and landed around 200-300m off shore, reports Cork Beo.
