Gurugram: The MCG are penalising those using carry bags with thickness more than 75 microns despite the same being exempted from the central government ban on single-use plastics, traders and industrialists have claimed.
In a letter to the MCG commissioner, the Gurugram chapter of Federation of Indian Industry (FII) on Friday highlighted the issue. The industrial body has alleged that in spite of the union and state government explicitly mentioning that compostable plastics will be allowed to be manufactured and used till December 31, MCG officials are penalising on a routine basis.
