Municipal Corporation Faridabad and Wakf Board officials arrested caught taking Rs 80,000 bribe

CHANDIGARH: Haryana State Vigilance Bureau has arrested two officials posted in Municipal Corporation Faridabad and Waqf Board, Bhiwani red-handed while accepting bribe worth Rs 50,000 and Rs 30,000 respectively. Both have been booked under the Prevention of Corruption Act.

Bureau spokesperson said on Wednesday that in the first case, SVB team has caught Taxation Clerk of MCF Taxation branch Kanhaiya Lal accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000 from the complainant in lieu of reducing the property tax from Rs 26 lakh to Rs 7 lakh.
