Municipal corporation earmarks 110 acres for IT park in Tirupati's Settipalli panchayat

TIRUPATI: Tirupati municipal corporation has earmarked nearly 110 acres of land near Settipalli in the outskirts of the city to set up an IT park.

Tirupati deputy mayor Bhumana Abhinay Reddy told TOI that this 110 acres of land parcel was acquired through land pooling after addressing the long pending land issues faced by the people of the Settipalli panchayat.

Several renowned IT companies have evinced interest in setting up their offices in Tirupati, in view of the well established road-rail-air connectivity which this world-class spiritual city boasts of.

"The state government of Andhra Pradesh under the leadership of Chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is committed to the comprehensive development of all regions of the state which is why three IT hubs are proposed to be established at Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada and at Tirupati", Abhinay Reddy observed.

"According to a recent report by Deloitte and Nasscom, three tier-2 cities in Andhra Pradesh which are Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada and Tirupati, are fast emerging as tech hubs. This report throws light on the state government's thrust to these emerging technology hubs", Tirupati deputy mayor observed.

"Apart from getting established the country's first electronics manufacturing cluster here, Tirupati is fast becoming a business management processing hub, particularly excelling in medical transcription and revenue cycle management", Abhinay Reddy added.
