Mumbai: YouTuber commits theft to fund lifestyle, arrested

MUMBAI: Abhimanyu Gupta, a well-known YouTuber, who allegedly committed theft and house break-ins to fund his extravagant lifestyle, was arrested by the Vinobha Bhave Nagar police in Kurla.

Gupta, a social media influencer who once had a large following on TikTok, a video-making social networking service which is now banned in India.

The police have recovered one and half kg of silver and 297 grams of gold ornaments, 14 mobile phones, two laptops and imitation jewellery which were part of the stolen booty.
