MUMBAI: The sheer number of national flags on display ahead of the 75th anniversary of India's Independence show the abiding respect the country holds for her martyrs and freedom fighters.
Some flags are cast in deeper shades of orange and green, the chakra is a little misshapen in some, and a few are fraying as the hurriedly stitched seams give way -- but the thread of pride and patriotism that runs through each is unmistakable.
