Mumbai: Water supply to western suburbs continues to stay affected

MUMBAI: Water supply to several areas of western suburbs remains affected as the repair works being carried out to a main water pipeline, 1800 mm in diameter near Seepz Entrance in Andheri East is taking longer than was anticipated by the civic body.

The pipeline was damaged during drilling works carried out for the Mumbai Metro project on November 30.

Officials have now said that the repair work is likely to be completed by the evening of today, Sunday, December 3. BMC said that water will be supplied to wards of K East (Andheri east), K West(Andheri west), H West ( Bandra West), N (Ghatkopar) and L ward (Kurla) after the completion of the repair work.
