MUMBAI: A special trial court on Monday granted bail to accused Anil Jaisinghani, an alleged bookie booked for offences of extortion and under Prevention of Corruption Act earlier this year for allegedly trying to bribe and extort the deputy Chief Minister's wife.
The Malabar Hill police station in south Mumbai had on February 20 registered a First Information Report (FIR) against Jaisinghani, and his daughter for allegedly threatening to make public, certain audio and video clips concerning Amruta Fadnavis, wife of deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
