The continuous downpour has prompted the India Meteorological Department (IMD) to issue an Orange Alert in the financial capital for next three hours.
An Orange Warning has been issued for Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, and Raigad, with moderate to intense spells of rain likely at isolated places over the next 3 hours. Residents are advised to take necessary precautions and stay alert, the weather agency said.
