Rail transportation along the Mumbai-Pune route will continue to be hindered until July 17, as a result of 30 long-distance and inter-city trains having been called off by the Central Railway due to landslides that took place in the Bhor Ghat area, officials reported on Friday.
Heavy rainfall that started on July 6, led to numerous landslides occurring between Karjat and Lonavala stations that caused severe damage to all three rail lines. Most of the landslides took place at the Thakurwadi and Monkey Hill cabins on Bhor Ghat.
