Mumbai: The Navy is conducting a unique race around south Mumbai’s heritage precinct on August 13, in the runup to the 75th Independence Day celebrations. A big attraction will be a rare opportunity to run along the historic buildings of the nearly 300-year-old naval dockyard.
The race will start at Lion Gate near Kalaghoda and finish at the Gateway. It has two distance categories: a 10km Varuna Run covering 32 way points of historic interest and a 5km Samudra Run covering 19 way points.
