Mumbai Marathon: Hayle Lemi makes it two in two, Aberash Minsewo tops women's field

MUMBAI: As he took his final strides before crossing the finish in 2:07:50 to win the elite men’s race at the Tata Mumbai Marathon (TMM) on Sunday, a smiling Hayle Lemi made it a point to signal the number 2 with his fingers.

It was pretty clear what the Ethiopian was referring to. This was his second straight victory in as many appearances here, making him only the second man in the history of the two-decade old event to the defend the men’s title.
