Mumbai: Goregaon's Patra Chawl residents want to stay off row, says 'never approached Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut'

MUMBAI: The residents of Goregaon's Patra Chawl are watching the latest fallout of the redevelopment scam with interest, but they don't wish to be drawn into the political controversy. "The politics currently happening around the redevelopment has nothing to do with the 672 tenants.

Redevelopment work has resumed and we are only focused on getting the rent that has been stalled for several years and our redeveloped homes," said Rajesh Dalvi, chairman, Siddharth Nagar Cooperative Housing Society's working committee. Patra Chawl, a low-income residential colony spread approximately over 10 acres, is part of the 47-acre Siddharth Nagar.
