MUMBAI: BEST general manager Lokesh Chandra on Thursday informed the media that while a formal launch of the e-double decker bus will happen anytime this month, the public operations for these buses will commence from the first week of September. Switch Mobility, the bus supplier has postponed the launch without citing any specific reason. . Sources said the launch could now be on August 18.
Chandra said the launch of the first e-double decker will “certainly happen this month”, following which BEST will conduct trials. “We will then launch the next set of buses in the first week of September for the public,” he added. tnn
