MUMBAI: A police constable attached to the Mumbai police and his wife have been booked under disproportionate assets (DPA) case after he was found having assets 1,512% more than his known source of income.
The Anti Corruption Bureau had initiated a discreet inquiry in 2018 against police constable Suresh Bhimrao Bhamne posted at Local Arms division, it was found that Bhamne had amassed assets amounting to Rs 12.65 crore.
“Close examination of his bank accounts shows heavy transactions which he will have to explain to the ACB.’ ’said an officer.
