Mumbai: Central Railway to felicitate RPF official who saved passenger's life at Kurla station

MUMBAI: The Central Railway will felicitate a Railway Protection Force (RPF) official who saved life of a citizen few days back.

A senior official said on Sunday the RPF staff Mukesh Yadav did an excellent work of humanity by saving a precious life.

On September 14, at 11 am at Kurla platform no. 7/8, a passenger was found in an unconscious condition. "On seeing this RPF constable Yadav gave him CPR- Cardio pulmonary resuscitation. Due to CPR, passenger’s life was saved," the official said.

"Later on with the help of station master, RPF and GRP, the passenger was sent to Bhabha hospital," said CR chief spokesperson Shivraj Manaspure.

Doctors at Bhabha hospital appreciated timely CPR given by RPF staff due to which passenger regained breathing and his life was saved.

The condition of passenger is stable now.
