Mumbai: 1 held in Input-Tax credit fraud racket of Rs 15 crore

MUMBAI: The Anti Evasion Wing of Central Goods and Service Tax (CGST) have unearthed a fake Input-Tax Credit racket of Rs 15.26 crore and arrested a director of a firm based in Kurla.

Acting on a tip off, the Central Intelligence Unit initiated an investigation against Lakshin Metal private limited which revealed that fake I-TC of Rs 15.26 crore was availed and passed on without actual receipts or supply of goods in violation of provisions of CGST act 2017.
