A mum got the shock of her life when her baby twins were born at just 34 weeks - with completely different skin tones. Jade Buckingham had always dreamed of being a parent, but after doctors discovered she two wombs, she feared she would never get the chance to have her own children.
After four miscarriages, she miraculously fell pregnant with twins, and couldn't wait until the moment she got to hold her babies in her arms. However, the 25-year-old was worried throughout the pregnancy, especially after finding out that her twins were growing in separate wombs, the Mirror reports.
On 29 April 2018, Jade was rushed to hospital for an emergency c-section and welcomed twins Lanaé and Lavell into the world. The brother and sister who are now four, were formed from separate eggs and grew with their own umbilical cords and sacs - making them fraternal twins. Jade, from Sutton-in-Ashfield in Nottinghamshire, said: "Lanaé was born feet first and Lavell was born head first, from that moment I knew that they were going to be polar opposites which they definitely are now."
