A mum who thought she had a summer cold was given devastating news.
Katie Froggatt, 39, thought she was just fighting off a cold virus in the summer of 2021, but as weeks went on, she started to find she couldn’t breathe at all. The Southport mum was soon told by doctors that she had an aggressive tumour, and was sent to undergo gruelling surgery.
Just before Christmas, she was told the heart-breaking news that her cancer was terminal and that she had less than a year to live. But the mum-of-one has now been given fresh hope.
