A mum who was trampled to death by a herd of cows while on holiday in the Ribble Valley loved 'to be outside', her son told a coroner's hearing.
Kathy McKellar was holidaying in Grindleton, in Lancashire, with her beloved cockapoo Archie, in September of last year. On the afternoon of September 25, the pair went out for a walk and made their way towards Pine Wood through a series of fields farmed by David Towler.
Later that day the owner of the holiday cottage, John Turner, came across Archie who had made his way back to the cottage. However, Mr Turner was unable to find Kathy and called 999 before going out to look for her, reports Lancs Live.
