'Mum was in tears, I was trying not to cry': Sam Konstas reflects on emotional Test call-up

Teenage batting sensation Sam Konstas has expressed his joy and gratitude after being named in Australia’s 15-member squad for the final two Tests of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against India. The 19-year-old is on the verge of a historic Test debut.

Konstas received the life-changing news while practicing in the nets. "I was actually in the nets when I got the call from George Bailey, and he told me I was in the Test squad," he said. "I was so thrilled. I called my parents straight away, and they were very emotional."
