A mum-of-five has shared a hack she used to buy her children's school shoes, without even taking them to the shops.
Terry Wheatley, 33, says her children - who are all under 10 - hate shoe shopping. Taking them out to buy as a group is a mammoth task, and taking them each individually would take five days - and cost a fortune in petrol.
Luckily, the busy mum from Wotton-under-Edge, Gloucestershire, has a hack - making stencils of each of her children’s feet. Harry, 10, Eloise, eight, Edith, six, Noah, four, and five-month-old Tommy all stood on a piece of cardboard while their mum drew around their feet.

She then took all of the cardboard cut-outs to Tesco to buy all of her children’s shoes in one quick trip. She said: “Shoe shopping is one of the most stressful activities with five kids, so I thought I’d make my life easier.
“I know what style of shoes they all like so it was quite easy once I went into the shop. They have worn the shoes around the house and all of them fit like a glove.
“I made sure to make the stencils out of cardboard not paper so I could put each of them in the shoes to check the fit.”
When uploading her hack onto TikTok, the mum soon realised she wasn’t the only parent who had thought of this genius tip. Many more parents commented to say they had done the same and has saved them painful shopping trips.
Terry runs a tight ship along with husband, Matthew Wheatley, 36, and makes sure to organise well in advance each aspect of family life. Other life-saving tips she has are batch cooking meals and freezing individual portions to make dinner time a breeze.
She also has daily clothes drawers for each day of the week whereby she lays out her children clothes for the day.
