A mum-of-two has gone viral on TikTok after her son inspired her, along with her friend, to create videos for parents who have children with special educational needs (SEN).
Shannon Hill from Parr was thinking the worst when she was told her premature son, Maison, was born after just 29 weeks and weighing just 1lb 4oz. The hospitality worker, along with co-founder Dani Dodds, formed the TikTok page to help people navigate the social care system and help parents deal with any diagnoses their children might be given.
Shannon's private TikTok account has already amassed 10,000 followers and is proving influential in helping parents navigate the world of being a parent to an SEN child. The 27-year-old's son, Maison, has 13 hidden disabilities including autism and being non-verbal after he was born with two collapsed lungs and a bleed on the brain.
