Living in a house for a long period of time doesn't mean your interior can't be fresh and inventive.
Julie, 58, bought her Aigburth home just prior to meeting her husband 25 years ago and the couple has gone on to raise two daughters there.
The ECHO's Where I Live series explores one property from across the region each week, with its owner giving us an insight into what makes a house a home.

She describes the house as an "average 1920s semi-detached" but is also a self-confessed 'serial decorator'.
"I always like to have a project on the go and enjoy the planning and research, looking at interiors magazines, Instagram and Pinterest for ideas and inspiration," Julie told the ECHO.
"I also enjoy shopping in store in places like Homesense and TK Maxx and also online. I love fabrics and often a piece of fabric or an accessory can trigger and idea for a change that can lead to a new scheme or change to a room."
Julie is also a dab hand at DIY. She added: "I make my own cushions and soft furnishing and like to purchase furniture and collect accessories from different stores and on line, including vintage items from e-bay and Gumtree to get more of an eclectic look."
She describes herself as a "traditionalist". Julie said: "I'm a maximalist rather than minimalist.
"I am drawn to country and vintage style and interiors but try and adapt this to suit my 1920s home in the city suburbs."
Over the winter, the couple have completed a full revamp of the ground floor, including the installation of new hardwood flooring a new fireplace in the lounge and a new kitchen, which Julie said she has been "dreaming of and planning for years".
The result is a bright space with a country feel and timeless white cabinetry. Natural light floods the room through the skylights on the pitched roof.
She added: "Next on the list will be my daughter’s bedroom, both my daughters have acquired my interest in interiors so anticipate that this will be a joint venture."
However, as the warmer months get underway, Julie is turning her attention to her other pride and joy - the garden.
She said: "I love being outside and find gardening a real antidote to a busy job, but my favourite aspect is creating a space where I can socialise and relax with family and friends, providing a venue for multiple celebrations over the years and hopefully many more to come."
