The mum of a little boy who became seriously unwell on Christmas Day claims she was told to take him to hospital herself because there would be a two-and-a-half-hour wait for an ambulance. Little Jaxson, aged three, had a temperature of 38.4C on Christmas morning.
He later became more sick, turning unresponsive with his eyes glazing over and fever. Mum Michelle Balmforth wasn't aware that he was having a fit, but her mother-in-law, whose house the family was at, knew what to do.
She took his clothes off and rubbed a wet flannel on him to cool him down. However, he still had a temperature and was shivering, reports HullLive.
