Mum slammed for 'ridiculous' amount of homework given to daughter every night

A mum who said she doesn't think two hours of homework a night is excessive for her daughter divided opinion amongst parents, with some calling it 'ridiculous'.

The mum claims her daughter has said that two hours a night of homework is 'against her human rights' and that the amount of work may 'cause her to have a nervous breakdown'. She came under fire on the Mumsnet's popular Am I Being Unreasonable (AIBU) thread with a post titled 'To think two hours homework a night is not excessive for a year 10 pupil.'

Comments were mixed, with some Mumsnet users claiming the amount of homework was 'needed to achieve her goals'. Other Mumsnet users completely disagreed with this, and thought that the two hours of work was 'excessive'.
