A mum who was made to eat alone at school has lost over 16 stone after learning to love herself.
Kelly Barker, from St Helens, said she had been overweight her whole life after spending years "hiding away" in baggy clothes and avoiding looking in full length mirrors. But after seeing a photo of herself queuing up for a buffet at a family christening, the primary school teacher was left feeling "mortified" and decided she had to make a change.
Kelly, 42, told the ECHO: "If I'm honest I've kind of been overweight all my life. [When I was at school] I was overweight and my mum, through the GP, had referred me to a dietician.
