As the cost of living crisis continues to push prices of food and drink up, many households in the UK are looking for cheap ways to feed their family.
And it turns out one old-fashioned scran could be a strong contender for solving the manic dinner rush in the home. The Mirror reports this dish can feed a family of four for just £2.50 altogether - costing just 62 pence a head.
It uses just four ingredients, most of which you can find in any cupboard across the UK. Reporter Amy Fenton wrote for Lancaster Live: "When I was little my mum had a bank of 'go to meals' which she could serve up quickly and easily for tea after my sister and I got home from school.”
