Mum shares sneaky drink hack to make kids feel more included at Starbucks

When you're visiting your local coffee shop of choice, sometimes your little one will be eyeing up your fancy coffee (which has a double shot in it!) with serious envy. Of course, they can't have a sip, so they might feel a little bit left out, but if you feel like giving them their very own special drink, one mum has the perfect hack for you.

Mum Kurin Emerick, aka @kurinadele on TikTok, has come up with a 'Starbs hack', which will keep your kids happy whilst you're sipping on your own hot beverage. The video starts with the mum holding the drink up to the camera, with the caption: "Starbucks hack for kiddos that like to steal your drink!"

Her little boy can then be seen sipping his drink through a straw as over the top of the video it says: "Ask for a milk of your choice (we chose oat milk) plus a scoop of strawberries.

"It's cheap, looks fancy and they get their own special Starbs drink", she wrote, followed by a love heart emoji.

Other mums praised the idea, with some suggesting other drink ideas which aren't coffee.

One wrote: "Mine likes plain apple juice blended", whilst another mum suggested "a plain vanilla bean frappe."

"This is so smart lol", someone commented.

"Mine likes to drink my coffee", another joked.

One mum said it's great to treat your kids if you're treating yourself, commenting: "If you get yourself a treat get your kid one too if they are with you. Everyone can parent in their own way."

Another said she does the same for her kids, writing: "My girls love 'purple coffee'. On Fridays we go to the drive-thru coffee shop and I get mine and they get a small berry smoothie split into two cups. My twins are only two and they love telling daycare they just had their 'coffee like mummy'."

Would you try this for your kids? Let us know in the comments.
