Mum shares easy hack to keeping bananas fresh for two days after they've been cut open

Amy Lynn Cross, from Washington, US, regularly shares produce tips and grocery saving hacks with her 88,000 Instagram followers, having first gone viral with her nifty strawberries in a jar hack.

The 45-year-old blogger's most recent advice concerns something she apparently gets asked about the most from fans, with many finding it difficult to keep bananas fresh once they've cut into them.

According to Amy, all you have to do to keep your banana good for another couple of days is to store the unused portion inside a sealed glass jar, before placing it inside the fridge.
