A Scottish mum has shared amusing before and after photos of her daughter's first day of school.

She saw the young girl utterly overwhelmed by the excitement of beginning her primary education.

Stacey McCullagh said she was "emotional but happy" to wave four-year-old Lyla off on her first day in primary one at St Mark's Primary School in Barrhead, East Renfrewshire on Wednesday.
