Planning a child's party is no mean feat, and can often be more intricate than preparing an event for adults.
Birthdays come with expense, especially if your child has a large circle of friends. Once you've factored in food, too, it all adds up. One mum said she threw a party for her son which included an activity, as well as taking the group for pizza.
One child, she said, could only make the pizza part of the event. He came with no present, and a homemade card. He and the other children who attended were all given party bags, Edinburgh Live reports.
