A mum wants to warn others about the signs of Strep A after the infection left her daughter unable to walk.
Kadie Dolphin, 37, first noticed her six-year-old daughter Nancie Rae was suffering from symptoms of the infection on November 8 and just hours later her daughter was in hospital. Nancie's symptoms included swelling around her eyes and a rash on her stomach.
Doctors at Halton Urgent Care centre initially believed she was suffering from an allergic reaction and she was rushed to Warrington Hospital, where she was diagnosed with Strep A. Thankfully, Nancie has now recovered from the infection and Kadie said she is back to her normal bubbly self.
