Mum's shock after daughter had tumour 'the size of an adult fist' behind her eye

A mum has spoken out about her shock when a tumour 'the size of an adult fist' was found behind her daughter's eye. One morning little Skye Brierley woke up with her 'left eye turned the wrong way around', her mum recalls.

Ruth, 47, immediately rushed her daughter to SpecSavers. They were unable to give a diagnosis but did suspect that the problem could be serious.

Speaking to Lancs Live, Ruth said: "I knew something wasn’t right. We came home and did Christmas, but within two hours of her opening her presents she was fast asleep on the sofa. We gave her some chocolate and she perked up a bit, so we thought she might be diabetic." However, when her condition had not improved two days later she took her to a GP who ruled out diabetes.
