A mum was left with horror injuries after she was smacked in the face by a van's wing mirror.
Lisa Holloway said the impact knocked her spinning to the ground and she was 'left for dead' after being hit as she got into her car.
The driver of the vehicle quickly left the collision on April 19, but she was helped by passersby who helped stop the traffic.
Lisa. 49, suffered multiple injuries, including a fractured cheekbone, bruising to her shoulder, jaw and chin and black eyes.
BirminghamLive reports officers from West Midlands Police are investigating the hit-and-run but have not yet made any arrests.
Lisa. a hairdresser who runs her own business, was left unable to work due to her injuries and could only return to the business at the end of last month.
The mum-of-two does not know who the driver was and can only remember the vehicle being a 'light coloured van'. She claims her car was also struck during the collision.
Recalling the crash, she said: "I was just getting into my car, I was leant against my car, because it is always busy down there.
"When I turned my head to my left, to see if it was okay to open my car door, a van ploughed into me and his side mirror smashed me in the face.
"It spun me across the road and I was knocked unconscious. I had quite a severe head injury, I have got a fractured cheekbone, black eyes coming out.
"It has rendered me not being able to work for a week. I am just coming back to work now part time. It was quite a bad accident. It is a hit and run.
"I am so lucky that it is only the injuries that I have got. The driver must have heard a bang, and heard that they hit my car.
"I have got an old car but that is besides the point. No one seems to have got a registration."
Lisa said she is a healthy person and it is lucky that an elderly or pregnant person was not hit, fearing the injuries could have been worse.
She claims a woman who was driving behind the van stopped and came to her aid.
Other people did too, including an off-duty firefighter.
She said: "The driver hit me full force, possibly for dead. The woman that was behind the driver drove down, stopped traffic and got out for me.
"A lady that was walking along, she came across and stopped all of the traffic. There was another guy who stopped all the traffic.
"And there was an off-duty fireman who was in a shop that ran out and he gave me immediate first aid."
Lisa claims she 'blacked in and out of consciousness' after the collision before she was taken to hospital.
She did not leave until 1am the next morning, on April 20.
But she has been critical of West Midlands Police.
She said: "The police are meant to be investigating but they have fobbed me off saying it has gone to a different department.
"It has been a week and I have had to chase them.
"I can't get hold of anybody"
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "We were alerted to reports of a hit-and-run collision at the junction of Norton Road and Stackhouse Drive, Pelsall shortly before 6pm on April 19.
"A woman in her 40s was taken to hospital to be checked over, she received treatment for an eye injury and was later discharged. The driver of the car failed to stop at the scene.
