A struggling mum was forced to issue a desperate plea for help after being left without food to feed herself or her little girl.
The mum took to Facebook, after she had practically nothing in her cupboards. She asked her local L8 community for help after being unable to claim food bank vouchers.
The young mum explained she didn't drive and couldn't get help from anyone. People from the Dingle area pulled together to offer her some much needed groceries after the woman uploaded a picture of her fridge and cupboards showing the lack of food.
The post was uploaded to The Liverpool 8 community group on Facebook. The post had more than 30 comments all offering help or advise the struggling mum.

The woman's post said: "Really financially struggling at the moment, me and my little girl have no food and can't get any help off anyone. Can't get a food bank voucher as had six in the past couple of months.
"If anyone could drop off to L8 dingle as I don't drive please. Thank you in advance, we eat pretty much everything and need blue milk for my little girl we're so grateful for anything my fridge freezer is practically empty not much left in cupboards."
People from across the city offered to drive to the mum's house and drop off not only the essentials but also chocolate goodies for the little one. The woman thanked her fellow neighbours.
She edited her post a couple of hours later, and said: "I've been helped off people now. Thank you. I am turning the comments off now."
