One mum has left the internet in stitches with her brazen response to an email from her son's teacher.
Jenny Mullen, who is a food writer, uploaded screenshots to Instagram detailing a conversation between her and the teacher. The original complaint was about her son's language in school, which the teacher thought Jenny should be aware of.
The 43-year-old and her husband Jason Biggs, star of "American Pie", were on a trip to Copenhagen when they received the email from the concerned teacher, writes the Mirror.
While on holiday, it seems the parents enjoyed some rather traditional Danish food at culinary restaurant legend, Noma, a three-starred Michelin restaurant - which has reindeer penis ragout on the menu.
The child had clearly picked up that they'd come across this delicacy, as the teacher had shared her concern over the youngster's choice of language used while he was at school.
The teacher, known only as Karen, quickly sent an email to Mrs Biggs to inform her what had been said.
It said: "Dear Ms. Biggs, today in school your son shared with his classmates that you are in Copenhagen on an adult trip and have been eating (pardon my language) ‘tons of penis’.
"While I hate to bother you on your vacation, I felt strongly that you should be aware and perhaps address the issue at your earliest convenience."
Upon receiving the complaint, Jenny hit back with a pitch-perfect response. She replied: "Dear Karen, He’s not lying. I have been eating tons of penis on this trip. Def gonna need to reign it in when I get home. Thank you so much for checking in on me. See you at drop off!"
Alongside the email she attached a photo of the menu from the restaurant, to illustrate her point.
Jenny's Instagram post showed people appreciated the light-hearted exchange, with one comment saying: "This is the content we need in this terrifying world. Thank you."
"Fabulous exchange," said another, "I laughed out loud."
Some common sense from a teacher: "I’m a teacher (granted I teach high school) and I would laugh if a kid said that. I might give you a heads up and tell the kid that is interesting, but we should save that talk for another time."
"Omg I’m dead," said another. "I wish someone was there to film her face when she read that response."
