A mother has been informed that she may only have months left to live after she noticed pain in her side.
Ros Atkins, 43, was on holiday in Scotland with husband, John, 42, and their daughter Maggie, six, when she began to feel pain in the right side of her body - a sensation she described as like a stitch.
Ros believed that the issue may have been cause by pulling a muscle whilst staying in various hotel beds at the time but thought she best get it checked out when returning home to see her GP.
