A mother of three has suddenly died just days after a weekend away with her fiancé and three sons. Ashleigh De-Andrade, 31, sadly passed away after a family trip away in North Wales.
The mother to Jacob, 12, Noah, 10, and Lewi, three returned to her home in Southport after a weekend at Haven Hafan y Môr Holiday Park. The mental health nurse-in-training began to feel unwell after waking up from a nap some days later with a high temperature, reports the Liverpool Echo.
She was rushed to hospital on April 26 and suffered a series of seizures that led to an induced coma. The 31-year-old died later that day with close friend Lauren Guest claiming Ashleigh suffered bleeding on the brain and meningitis.
Her friend told the Echo that the mother-of-three seemed "fine" in the weeks before her sudden death. She noted: "It was all really quick and sudden so it makes it even more devastating.
"They came back on Sunday (April 23) after being away with her three boys and partner. She didn't feel too good so she went up to bed for a little sleep.
"Her partner woke her up a few hours later. She was sweating. He took her to hospital to get checked and she had a couple of seizures in hospital."
Ashleigh's friends, whom she met during at Edge Hill University where she was studying to be a mental health nurse in her second year, have set up a Gofundme page to support her family. The mum was in the process of planning her wedding with partner Jordan before her sad passing.
Lauren added: "I don't even think there's enough words to describe her. She was beautiful inside and out. She'd do absolutely anything for you. She was a happy little soul.
"She was so excited to be a nurse. She was always the one if some of us were struggling [with exam preparation] who said 'come on you can do it.' She was always so positive.
"Her and her partner were getting married in the near future. She had so many plans for when she qualified."
