Mum of Glasgow man who overdosed in 'hellhole' hotel calls for it to be shut down

The heartbroken mum of a man who died of an accidental drug overdose at a "hellhole" Glasgow hotel has demanded an inquiry.

Linda McVean from Penilee has spoken out following the death her son Frankie - who was not a drug addict - at Queens Park Hotel on May 14.

The 30-year-old was working as a scaffolder and using the hotel as a stop-gap while awaiting a council tenancy, which he had been granted shortly before his death, reports the Daily Record.
