A mum-of-four who died after a car mounted a footpath running her down before smashing through a shop window in Sligo has been named locally.
Marguerite Kilfeather, who was in her early 70s, was pronounced dead at the scene after the Ford car went out of control in Sligo town killing the pensioner and hitting another walker.
The other injured pedestrian, one man, was rushed to Sligo University Hospital where he is said to be stable, with a suspected broken shoulder.

Gilroy Gannon Chartered Accountants, whom two of Marguerite's children are "valued colleagues of" confirmed the tragic news.
They said: "The partners and staff of Gilroy Gannon express their deepest sympathies to Bryan and the Kilfeather family on the tragic and untimely death of Marguerite.
"We extend their sincere condolences to our valued colleagues Andrea and Drew on the death of their mother. We are shocked and saddened. May Marguerite Rest in Peace."
Marguerite will be missed by many including her husband Bryan and children Joy, Andrea, Marguerite and Drew.
Councillor Marie Casserly echoed those words telling Galway Beo: "My deepest sympathies to Marguerite's family and friends, it's a huge loss for the community."
Witnesses say they saw a car travelling down Market Street, and apparently out of control, mount the footpath before crashing through the plate glass window of a business premises.
The two pedestrians were walking along Grattan Street when they were hit.
The car is understood to have L-plates on. There was no information about the driver last night.
Traffic in the busy north-west town ground to a halt as gardai and paramedics rushed to the scene. Streets were blocked for hours afterwards as officers spoke to witnesses.
Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated Friday April 29 in Saint Columba’s Church, Rosses Point, Co. Sligo at 3pm.
Burial will follow in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, Scarden, Strandhill Road, Sligo.
