Mum-of-22 Sue Radford enjoys enormous buffet with brood to celebrate turning 48

Mum-of-22 Sue Radford celebrated her 48th birthday with an enormous family buffet.

In an update to their YouTube channel, Sue and Noel Radford shared how they planned and celebrated the day with her huge brood of children and some grandchildren.

However, the day got off to a rocky start when the '4' and '8' balloons organised for the big day ended up as just. number '8' when the 4 popped.

Footage showed Sue, mum to 'Britain's Biggest Family' then opening her presents - including lots of flowers and chocolate and sweet handmade cards by the younger children.

Later in the clip, Sue is seen sitting down after most of the children have gone to school - before revealing she still has a mountain of housework to do on her birthday.

The family later go on to enjoy a buffet, complete with a chocolate cake which Sue later blows out her birthday candles on.

In summary of the day Noel says "Oh it's chaos in here" before the family sing happy birthday.

Last week Sue was involved in a dramatic car crash which has left her family motor mangled.

The mum of Britain’s biggest family has since confirmed that no one was injured in the road accident.

The 47-year-old TV star took to Instagram to tell her 507,00 fans that her vehicle ended up in the horrific collision.

Sharing a snap of the street with a police van and a fire engine in the background, Sue confirmed that everyone was safe and said she was "so grateful" no children were in the car.

"Everyone was ok. 'Not how I expected my day to go but thankfully everyone was ok," Sue penned.

''The car isn't but it's only metal and can be sorted,'' the mum-of-22 wrote in the story posted on the family's social media account.

"So thankful I didn't have the kids in the car though. Also thank you to all who stopped to ask if I was ok.''

Sue also recently revealed the pressures of running their business in the earlier years and the bankruptcy nearly caused them to divorce.

She said: "You would go to bed thinking about the debt, wake up thinking about the debt, wake up in the night thinking about the debt. If anything would have caused us to get a divorce, it was this shop.

"Looking back now, it was a time where I genuinely thought our marriage would not pull through. We’d get divorced and that would be it. It was absolutely awful."

The Radford family live in a 10-bedroom home in Morecambe, Lancashire, and got into the Christmas spirit with a trip to Disneyland Paris.
