A couple moved house over the water after "nobody came to visit".
Shortly after Georgia Barrow and her husband Steve married they moved in together into a house in Wirral. The location was perfect for both of their jobs (Georgia worked at the local council and Steve in North Wales) but soon they realised that despite loving the area they "were just living there for work really" and longed to return to their support network closer to home.
Georgia told the ECHO: "We were quite far from family and friends. We were spending a lot of time back through the tunnel to see everybody. And we found that nobody came to visit because we were so far away."

The ECHO's Where I Live series explores one home from across the region each week, asking its owner to tell us a little about the story behind what makes their house much more than just the four walls they live in.
Soon a decision was made. Georgia, from Liverpool originally, and Steve wanted to grow their family and the couple - now raising three children together - needed the perfect space to do that.
Georgia said: "I think it was my dad at the time, he's born and bred in Liverpool, he said to my mum that they will move back over here at some point.
"I didn't know at the time but when I told them I was moving back he said 'I always knew'. He was delighted that we did.
"I'm glad that we did actually, because my dad passed away in 2020. But he did get to see us move into this house, and helped us when we first moved in with the decorating.
"Dad loved this house and we were so pleased that we moved back. We had a good six years of him living close by to us and being a part of this house, and I'm really glad that we got to have that time now in hindsight."
Georgia and Steve moved back over the water in 2014 to their current home in South Liverpool, a home they have just finished a huge expansion project on.
She said: "The work has all been completed this week, the last lick of paint, the last floor tile laid. This week we're currently unpacking boxes and settling ourselves back in at home.
"But it's been an adventure for the family really. We've got three boys and they've just loved being a part of it.
"Seeing the diggers outside the house, and when we lived away seeing the weekly transformation. It's been a bit of an adventure for us as a family and one we hope we'll all remember and look back on.
"That work started in January, a 14-week programme and the builders stuck exactly to the timescale which I think is unheard of. In week five it was time for us to move out and we moved in with mum.
"We kept what we loved about the house, its original features as we loved the 1930s feel of it. We tried to honour that with the style of kitchen we've chosen.
"And we kept our 1930s front door and the stained glass windows.
"We've just added a porch. We're trying to keep that nod to the 1930s really with a bit of a modern twist to suit our modern living.
"We moved back in last Friday. It's very much still like when you just moved house really. You've still got boxes all over the place and, room by room, we're putting things back together."
