Parents often put a lot of time and thought into choosing their baby's name, in the hope it is not a choice they will later come to regret. But one mum has been left facing this problem after realising her son shares his name with a former US president.
Unfortunately, it appears that neither the mum or her partner noticed the similarity until after the child was born, and now she wants to change her son's name. To make matters worse, the news likely came as a shock to the pair, who did not realise their baby had a namesake until a friend mocked their choice.

Luckily, her son goes by his Hawaiian name, which he likes, but this has not prevented his mum from having regrets over his full name, which she hates and "can't wait" to change.
Sharing her story to TikTok, mum @ollierose_ replied to a prompt asking parents, "Do you ever regret what you named your kid?" admitting: "I accidentally named my son Bill Clinton."
Her explanation continued: " It is my husband's fault. Story is I'm pregnant with our second child. My husband is very adamant that we name him William. It is his papa's name. You know, it is really important to him."
She added that she disliked the name for personal reasons, but they nonetheless agreed on it. So far, so good.
However, the couple made what might have been their crucial mistake when they then decided to include the mum's family's name as well. As such, they gave their son Clinton as a middle name. And of course, together the two names read as Bill Clinton, when the nickname for William is used.
Fortunately, their Hawaiian son also has a "Hawaiian name", meaning he has another moniker to use - and it is one he likes.
Like his siblings, this is the name he uses in everyday life, though William is listed on his birth certificate. "I knew going into this he was never going to go by William, he was going to go by his Hawaiian name, because our other two kids also go by their Hawaiian names," his mum said.
However, the family still want to change their son's name legally. "We are legally getting names changed and removed at some point," she revealed.
"I hate it and I can’t wait to get it changed. It’s just something I forget about until I see the name on documents," her caption added.
But the mum is happy to laugh about the mistake, if her video is anything to go by.
Summing up her unusual story, she chuckled while saying: "I also did not know his name was Bill Clinton - William - until after he was already named those and someone made a joke."
She joked: "The moral of this story is don't let your husband's pick the name."
In response, people were quick to share their shock and delight at the story.
One person wrote: "I love hearing this story every single time." A second said: "I’m dying." And when someone commented: "WHET?!?!" the mum replied: "My life’s greatest mistake."
