Mum mauled to death after XL American Bully dog suddenly snapped

The first images have been released of a mum who was mauled to death by her own dog in a savage attack which also left her partner seriously injured.

Joanne Robinson was set upon by one of her two two American Bully XL dogs when it 'suddenly snapped' at the family home. The 43-year-old had just arrived home from a night out when the pet, named Rocco, reportedly pinned her down by his jaws.

Her partner Jamie Stead, 42, suffered potentially life-changing injuries to his face, chest and hands as he attempted to pull the animal off of her. He is still recovering in hospital and has reportedly undergone a skin graft for the severe wounds, the Mirror reports.
