Mum makes shocking discovery after finding ten giant snakes living in walls of new home

A mum made a shocking discovery after finding a slithery visitor in the walls of her new home.

Amber Hall, 42, recently purchased a four-bedroom, two-bathroom home in Centennial, Colorado, US, and was looking forward to moving in with her family.

She craved a bigger house for their two children and two dogs and had saved up money to buy her first-ever home and excitedly moved into the home.

However, one of her dogs soon uncovered a terrifying visitor in the home - a huge snake.

Amber told Denver 7: "I was trying to unpack, and my dog crouched down and he started walking over here really slow.

"I came over to see what he was looking at, thinking it was like a spider or something, and there were two little holes right here and I saw snakes slither up the wall. So, I panicked.”

The "shockingly big" snakes had been coiled up in a crevice in the wall, which led Amber to believe there could be more hiding.

She put her hand on the wall and released it was warm and, to her horror, another horrifying discovery was made.

Amber found an astonishing ten snakes in the property and isn't even sure what types they are.

She revealed: “After all the research, everybody's saying they're some form of garter snake. But they're also giving the caveat that nobody's ever seen their garter snake that big."

The mum is afraid to unpack more of her boxes just in case she finds more snakes.

She said: “I can't unpack any of my stuff because I'm definitely afraid that there's snakes in the boxes or under the boxes... It's like you crawl into bed, and if the sheet brushes your foot or something, you immediately rip the covers off or jump out of bed to make sure nothing's in there."

And for the 42-year-old this experience has scarred her - especially as it's her first ever home.

“It's rough. I'm 42 years old, and this is my first home. I've worked my whole life for it, and I can't enjoy it. My kids can enjoy it. I'm scared to death”, she said.

Amber called in some professional help and a snake wrangler came to humanely remove the huge creatures.

She was told the snakes have likely been living in the home for at least two years.

And despite spending more than $1,000 trying to remove the snakes from her house, Amber feels she needs to rip up the concrete before feeling safe.

Amber added: “I don't feel like I'm the first one to find them, but I don't think that anybody would ever say that they knew they were there."
